About David

David Daugherty is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. James Parker and Billie Baker, LPC-S. David earned his master’s degree in Counseling & Development from Texas Woman’s University. He offers in-person and virtual session via the Dallas location. Outside of the office, David is an avid sci-fi/fantasy enjoyer, a specialty coffee fanatic, and purveyor of nature.

David understands that life can be full of unexpected twists and chapter breaks. Having walked through times of uncertainty and loss himself, he knows how easy it is to lose the plot along the way. David offers a judgement-free space where authenticity is the only agenda and uses an 'eyes wide open' approach that will help uncover what his clients don't yet see. Drawing primarily from Existential psychotherapy, he emphasizes elements such as meaning-making, authenticity, and personal agency. Upon request, David is able to utilize a faith-based approach that is sensitive to each client's individual journey.

David serves adult clients from all walks of life who may be experiencing identity and worldview transitions, shame and perfectionism, anxiety, as well as grief and depression. His specialty is helping clients succeed in their search for meaning, direction, and self-trust.
